I think that this article was great not only was Florance an independent women but she was also just what the army needed. Without a women's sensitive touch those wounded soldiers would have died from disease. It is true that in war you need the strength of a man however at time you also need the heart of a women. Thank you for posting this for I did not know who she was until today!
