In this article, as in class, it is seen that even a great man like Alexander the Great can have some poor judgment and in the end will pay for it with his life. It is a shame that someone to do great for Russia could go out at the hand of the revolutionaries.

i think its sort of cool that alexander felt it was his duty to look after the men who had been injured. it wasn't neccessarily the smartest thing to do but it showed his loyalty to others not just himself.

so even if he was an unneccessary casualty i still feel that it is interesting that he didn't think of himself as more important than the men protecting him

ok first off posted my comment once and didn't work. Lambo whats the problembo. so anyways this is what i said...This piece shows an in depth account of the assasination of AlexanderII and it gives a set of reasons for which they had assasinated him. This event also forshadowes the near future as ALexander's grandsom was the last Czar of Russia and was assasinated in the October Revolution.

Alexander although he was a very powerful man obviously was lacking in the common sense department. I realize that yes he felt for his Russian people, creating a great sense of nationality but get real; risking your life... a czars life for that of a common man, especially in those times and under that type of rule. All in all, Alexander was a cool dude who just didn't have a tight grasp on reality and that sadly caused his life to prematurly end.
