It surprised me how this film depicted a very limited view of the Munich Conference. Rather than focusing on the actual politics and concessions of the conference, the film concentrated on Chamberlain's mode of transportation and the weather at the time of his meeting with Hitler. It is interesting to note that this British propaganda, which is so clearly devoid of information, was effective in quieting Britain's fears of a potential war with Germany. In the film, Chamberlain announces that Hitler is planning on compromsing with Great Britain. Chamberlain, however, did not oppose Hitler's request for the Sudentenland, and willingly upheld the British policy of appeasement. I wonder how many Britains would have supported the Munich Conference if they had knowledge of Chamberlain's intentions to ceed an allied land to Hitler. Instead, Britains were content with knowing the color of Chamberlain's suit and the outside temperature in Germany.
