hah! i remember this from the good ol days of Ap US...i find it very interesting the idea of trying to persuade mexico to fight against us...imagine if the did we would have war coming from our own continent
maybe the insurgents in Iraq should ask mexico for help?
We did learn about this note last year but didn't really go into depth or actually read it. This helps me understand the true idea of propoganda rather than just poster and TV, and radio propoganda. This was larger than just trying to convince the public, it convinced a whole country.
Mr. Gulick did go into this "Zimmerman Note" with us last year. The question is Fact or Fiction? If this were true, it is very fascinating how this all happened and the controversy that followed it.
I love learning about all of this propaganda because it just shows me I can never trust the news because it is always slanted for some purpose. I also remember learning this not only in AP US but also in 8th grade social science at least I know that each of these subjects are consistent. It is also sociology coming in to play and how one letter can convince an entire nation of something.
Mr. Lambo first off i wanna say that i give you mad props for using Wikipedia b/c its the $H!T also but on a more serious note i'd like to say that the zimmerman note is very interesting the note hadn't been intercepted and decoded that mexico woul've waged war with us...the consquences of that would've been enormous, imagine the U.S. without M.Sanchez, imagine the effect it would've had on our relationship with Mexico and the imports and american busines's with factories there
