I watched the video clip about the long bow. The wooden bows used linen string and had cow horns on each end. The arrow that was used was called a broad head arrow because once it entered the body it could not be easily pulled out. Boys were required to train by law starting at the age of seven. They practiced for two hours after church every Sunday. Long bows were extremely innovative because they were fast, accurate, and had great power.

I watched the video about how to shoot a long bow. Long bows could shoot an arrow over 300 paces (about 450 meters). Some of the arrows had a barbed point called a broad head, so when it punctured the body, it would rip flesh out when removed. Because it was required by law to start training when you were 7, the archer didn't have to look down the arrow at all. They could just look at the target instead, making their shot have a much higher chance of hitting the target. These weapons were much faster to reload, had a higher fire power and more accurate then the crossbows used by the French. Nicholas D'ALeo
I read the Eyewitness to history page about the plague. Some people would form small communities in which the illness and death of the time was not discussed and they lived moderately. Noble women who were sick were not afraid to show their entire body to the male servants with no shame because of the looser morals of women at the time. Because the air was full of the scent of dead bodies, some people carried around flowers and herbs in hopes of comforting the brain. People were forced to cope with the plague one way or another and there were many different ways of doing this.

I watched the video clip of Henry V's speech prior to the battle of Agincourt. Henry's monologue served to inspire his men before the upcoming battle, where the english were outnumbered. One of the reoccurring themes in the speech was St. Crispin's day, which was on the day of the battle. Henry uses this to further inspire his men with promises that they shall always be remembered with St. Crispin's day. Finally at the end of the video/speech they all pray before going to the battle; demonstrating the importance of religion.
