I found this site to be very helpful. It is another way to learn more about DBQs FRQs etc from another source. It gives me a better perspective on how I want to shape my DBQ by using different sources.
i thought the site was great, it is simple and the best thing is that it compiles all of the information into one area. The information about the DBQ's is great and it even supplies a link to the McKay website
This site was very helpful, it really shows what the DBQ's and FRQ's are really looking for. It helps greatly for myself (a person who did not AP US) because it sums up how to improve on my DBQ's. Good site!
Indeed i agree with everyones Mr. Stip's Tips have realy helped me out! I"M A FREAKING DBQ MACHINE NOW! can't wait to finish the writing part of the Test tommorow in Class. Its a great way to be able to not just read the DBQ handouts and waht not but to be able to listen to them and further our knowledge and writing expertise. HEYYO LAMBO!!
Yeah this site is pretty helpful. It's a nice way to avoid being overwhelmed. Like i went to the FRQ Strategies Page to take a look, and he has about nine or eight steps, which is simple enough. No offense Mr. Lamb, but sometimes the amount of documentation we have been given gets a little overwhelming when you're just looking for a quick answer or guide. So this is nice because these provide just that. But it's not like i'm ignoring all the other stuff you gave us, i think next time i'll try keeping one of his strategies guides in my head, and then build around it with all the more specific information we've been taught. But anyway, my point is, very helpful.
Well, this site accuratly depicts what is nessicary to write a good DBQ/FRQ... obviously but it also has alot to do with some of the themes and trends of Eurpean History. I think the podcasts are also a really good idea. My only problem with it is that it is strictly geared towards the McKay books rather than a rounded look from all three of the primary sources of the test.
Yeah probably the best part of this was the podcasts. It definitely shows what the internet can do in a modern class setting... There was one thing that was a little over the top though, which was the "AP EURO Themes" which I suspect is what it says it is, even though the link was broken.
